Amazon Bronze

I changed my mind = THIS one is the one I'll probably have to wear a few times just to see if everything's okay. This color combo kind of surprised me - very pleasantly surprised. Lots of silver on this one too. Really pretty, and very easy to wear . . . with ANYthing.

Purple Urple Rides Again

Boro beads ride again - this time with Purple Urple. Don't cha just love that name? No mistaking the colors here - the prettiest of purples and blues blend to make this really eye-catching piece. Loads of silver to set it off. I might have to test drive this one a bit - just to make sure everything's up to snuff, of course.

Just in Time for Valentine's Day

Just in time for Valentine's Day Sterling hearts and really pretty beads! The tiny silver bead caps have little stars and moons on them. Hearts & stars and moons - oh my!

And the second picture shows a large sterling heart ready for that special message to be stamped on the surface. A pretty blue/green boro bead and a Swarovski crystal on top. Preeeety!

Newly Hatched

A fairly simple piece but I really like the way it turned out. Had a special order for a baby owl, and this is what hatched this afternoon.

"Triton"

This set was requested by my son as a prize, or award to be given at a local art contest. Does that make this . . . . . an award winning set?? heeheehee - sorry. I love the reaction of the silvered Triton used in the surface scroll decoration with the ivory glass in the base bead.

Newest Metal Magic

Getting back into the swing of metal work with this ring. A little faceted ruby is up front and center, but my love of this ring is the wire work. It's actually an easy design that yields an impressive result. Think I'll go make some more.

Blue Moon

The end of December '09 had it's second solar eclipse of the month - which is called a "Blue Moon". Since this rarely happens, that's where the saying "Once in a blue moon" comes from. In honor of that, here's my interpretation of "Blue Moon". A heavy sterling full moon with the 'blue moon' bead right in the center.

Newest Chainmail Ring

Pictured here is my latest efforts with Chainmail. This ring is so easy and comfortable to wear. Obviously very flexible - so it squishes to fit over that larger knuckle easily. Not the easiest to make tho, a little intense in that department. But the results were WELL worth the extra effort. Think I'll make some more!

Animal Lovers - UNITE !

Love this! Our oldest daughter works for a Vet and is a dedicated dog lover, as am I, so I came up with this idea for her birthday/Christmas present. Sorry Teri, for combining the two this year. . . Annnyhoo - I love it too! Of course the little paw prints come in different colors, and there's "Cat Mom" also, for all the cat lovers out there. But I'm seeing many possibilities for this down the road. The sterling disk is hand cut, stamped & shaped made by me, and makes this really cute idea fun and totally unique.

2009 Christmas Show

This is what our space looked like at the Southern Christmas Show this year. I forgot to make sure our third place ribbon showed up in this shot, but that ribbon was a very pleasant surprise. I think the booth design and display looked great, and since we got a corner space this time, there was room for everything right up front. Our best show ever, ever! Thanks so much everyone.

Back to the Beach Beads

Just can't get away from the ocean theme when making beads. This is a simpler version than my first design of a starfish. And this one is wire wrapped into a silver 'frame' just for that added punch. Makes me think of the beach - and the warm, warm sun - 'cause it is c-o-l-d here now!

Oooo-Baby!

I LOVE this little pendant. Three beads - gradually getting smaller, all with little crystals and silver about. This one is a lovely shade of pink, amber and purple frit melted onto the surface of each bead. I've made them in lots of different color choices. Looks great casual, or with a fancier plunging neckline. Ooo-baby!

Fine Silver & Boro Set

This is a beautiful boro set using some fine silver, and original in concept and design. It's sooooo much prettier than the picture can capture. Oh so sparkly with huge crystals, and fine silver that will never tarnish. Awesome.

Cluster for 2009

I love this color combination. A pretty bluish shade that gradually gets darker as it nears the edges, done on ivory. A very popular cluster combination this year.

New Shape for Earrings

Have a brand new shape for earrings - crystal. They look awesome as earrings, and I can't wait to try them in a bracelet. Tiger pattern on the left and an etched turquoise pair on the right. Nice.

Fun Pendant

This is a fun little piece. A pretty, multicolored leaf, a little flower and a matching bead, all clustered together on a sterling chain. Representing my love for the outdoors - and you won't see this one on the show tables 'cause it's mine. Maybe I'll make some more, this one's a favorite I could share . . . .

Creatively out there . . . . hopefully

A big fat ole boro bead - can't tell you how much fun I'm having playing with this glass. Double dipped and sprinkled with frit, an amazing square bead cap and sparkling Swarovski round out this pendant to be a striking one of a kind piece. Hope you get to see it . . . . 'cause this one just might not ever make it to the show table - looks like a keeper to me!

Pink Lemonade

What cools you better than pink lemonade!!? The colors in these beads are really fantastic, they don't sparkle in the picture nearly as much as they do in real life. Pink lemonade - best thing for a hot hot summer!

Two more bracelets

Two more boro bacelets that turned out really well. Gearing up for the summer/fall shows so there's lots of new stuff. Happy with the colors that are now showing up using this fast becoming my favorite glass. Keep checking back for new stuff!

Boro Beauties

This second bracelet turned out so much more sparkly than it comes across in the picture. Lots of crystals - lots of blues, a little blue/green and smoky beige - but prettier than that sounds. The first picture is a bracelet made using different color boro beads. I LOVE the colors, they just pop - verrrry different!

New twist on Shards !

Glass shards are made by making a large hollow bead - some as large as a Christmas Ball - decorating them, layering them with dots or silver, then breaking them ! Ouch! The shards are then added to the surface of a bead. Trying to be creative, and come up with something new, I found some glass I'd had for awhile, had no clue if it was compatable with any other glass I had, so I added some shards to the surface, left them raised, and popped the bead in the kiln. Ta Daaaaa - out came this beautiful bead. A new technique added - hope you like.

Beautiful Change A Bead Ring

Brand new ring for this summer and it is absolutely gorgeous! And it's changeable too - what more could you ask? Beautiful sterling silver design, right down to the tiny little screw on the side. All you need do to change the bead is use a little screwdriver (like the one used with glasses) to loosen the screw on the side, and the sterling rod that goes through the bead comes out, put on another bead and VOILA! - you may have a different ring for every day of the week . . . that is if you have enough beads. And they're always available from Grammy Glass. This particular bead is made using my favorite color boro glass 'Blue Moon'.

Hummingbird Pendant

Excited about this new piece - right before hummingbird time! Filling the wild bird feeders last week, I wondered when was the proper time to fill the hummingbird feeders with sugar water. . . . which got me to thinking about something I could do with some hummingbird pieces I'd ordered last year and never found the inspiration to use. Voila! - inspiration. Amazing what spending time outside can do. I think this little birdie is going up on my etsy account today. New Hand Stamped Rings With Hand Made Beads!

More new rings with stamped messages on the sterling bands. Each one is different - the dragonfly has "Earth First", the tiger bead has "Fierce", the one in the back right has "Get Over It". Another has "Plays With Fire", and "FOCUS" . . . Will definitely be making more of these.

Newest Metal Work - Copper

So excited to finally get this out of my head and into the world. My own bead caps. These are bright and shiney copper - a really nice combination with the silver. Had to practice on the copper before jumping into making my own sterling bead caps, but I really like the two-tone look. Still experimenting with the stamping on the surface, trying everything right now. Thanks to my darling husband (DH) for his help in these. It takes four hands to cut out the disc so I couldn't do it without him. Check out more later. It'll be awhile before I update again - have lots of shows coming up. But check back in a couple of months to see what else is new. Thanks.

Boro & Byzantine

This one's a stunner. Boro glass coupled with a Byzantine chain - Awsome! The Byzantine link is nice and thick and shiney. The boro glass bead is clear encased and 'melon' shaped, a really nice color and design combination. This two piece set is a one-of-a-kind design, 'cause I don't have any more jump rings and it'll be awhile before I re-order any! Don't think this one will be around too long once my Spring shows get started.

Cupcake Anyone?

Who doesn't like sweets? My sweet tooth gets out of hand every now and then. That's how the idea for this pendant originated. The "No" charm dangle beneath the cupcake is hopefully a gentle reminder of what and what ISN'T permitted. Not sure if it'll do any good where my sweet tooth is concerned, but it sounded good at the time. This application is also available with cake too - my personal favorite!

Heeeeeere's Joey !

Here's Joey - cute, huh? Our oldest dog, Joey is 14 this year, and he's still the man! Of course the other two four-legged hooligans don't think so, but he'll always be top dog as far as we're concerned. Bright orange and yellow base bead. Light and fluffy white hair all over his body. Two little blue flowers on either side. On the back the ever present "Woof" which Joey does - an ear piercing version - every morning at 7 and every evening at 6 just to let me know it's time to EAT!

Here Kitty, Kitty !

Here's a really cute little kitty, up to no good by the look on his face. Bright turquoise blues on the base bead, coral flowers on both sides and a heart on the bottom for all you cat lovers out there. On the reverse side of the bead is written "Meow". Just like the dog bead has "Woof" on the back. Had a picture of it around here somewhere, but I had a senior moment and it strangely disappeared! Unfortunately, that happens more and more often. Hope you like this sweet little kitty. Several different color choices are available in the kitty.

Boro Disc Necklace

Really pretty, and unusual, necklace made using my favorite color of boro glass - Blue Moon. Such a shiny fun piece. Matching earrings are somewhere - sorry.

Hot Stuff !

Beautiful deep red boro make up the beads in this necklace. I wish the camera could catch the glow in each bead. Much better in person than in picture.

Sterling Dragonfly

Have made a few of these recently, but couldn't get a picture taken before they sell -which is a good thing, I guess. Very unique - the beads are always different. Thanks to my friend Nikki for the introduction to her wire wrapping - this is my twist on the lesson. Very comfortable to wear.

Boro Frit and Flowers

Absolutely beautiful colors in this boro pendant. Blue Moon glass, frit and clear raised flower petals make this a stunning piece. I may have to keep this one for myself.

More Spring Flowers

This years version of my old stand by purple flowers (purple rocks!). I love the way the ivory on the base beads creates tiny threads of color. A really pretty pendant on a sterling silver chain with a built-in 3" extender.

Trilliam

The spring flowers are trying their hardest to bloom, if the cold winter air would just go away it would make it so much easier. This is my effort to hurry spring - a beautiful Trillium blooming just in time.

Seaside Shells & Starfish

This is something I've been wanting to try for quite some time. I'd originally wanted to make a starfish bead using boro, but it seems I need more practice. Anyhoo - here's the first attempt mixing boro beads and my Moretti starfish. Shells and silver vines, a couple of pearls, lots of Swarovski and silver, there's even a faceted topaz in there. A beautiful free form gathering of some beautiful stuff all wire wrapped on a sterling silver bar and strung on a sterling chain. I am really ready for some warm weather now !! Better email me if you like this one 'cause it was really hard, and I don't anticipate doing it again any time soon!
