Have been thinking about making a sea turtle for quite some time - don't know why that time took so long in coming … but here it is. Am pretty pleased with the outcome too. Think I might have to add this particular bead into the curriculum in my glass bead making classes - especially the ones in Florida. It wasn't too difficult, but packs a punch. Let me know what you think.
He just looks like a 'Humphrey' to me, maybe it's the expression on his face. A cutie, none the less. There's a heart on the back, just incase people don't realize you're a dog lover by the image on the front!! HA!
Sand Piper alert! Keeping up with the beachy themed beads, here's another. Trying out some different blue mixtures for the sky and appreciating the 'calm waters' look of this bead too. Back to the torch to try for some more.
I try really hard to keep the postings on this site limited to glass work, but this painting turned out really, really well and I just love it. (am I gushing?) So the decision to include it here might be a bit out of character, but ….. tell me what you think?
For purchases, call 704.641.3656 - or email me at firstname.lastname@example.org :: If you're in the area and would like to see what I have in stock, you're welcome to give me a call and schedule a visit to my home studio. That is, as long as you remember that I make beads, I don't really do much housework! The way I look at it, dust is just a protective covering.
